Call for Applications : Science Journalism Mentorship Program for Beginners 2025, Second Batch
The Nepal forum of Science Journalists (NFSJ), established in 2014 to bolster science journalism in Nepal, is excited to announce the launch of Second Batch of Science Journalism Mentor ship Program for Beginners. The program, running from June to August, will be guided by international science journalists and includes a 10 hours online workshop along with hands-on science writing activities throughout the three-month period.

- Shaping Ideas and Identifying the Science in Stories
- Conducting Challenging Interviews
- Fact Checking in science stories
- Sourcing News Stories
- Crafting a Compelling Pitch
- Multimedia Storytelling Skills
- Utilizing AI Tools for Reporting
- Ethical Considerations in Science Journalism
The comprehensive training is free and entirely online. Limited participants will be selected, therefore selected candidates must commit to the full duration of the course.
Eligibility:
Early career journalists and students from all over the world, who are interested in science journalism, are encouraged to apply. Participants who attend minimum eighty percent of the sessions will be awarded certificate after completion of the training.
